Throwback: SECRET 시크릿 Live in Singapore 2013

In March, I had this privilege to attend the Secret Live in Singapore Press Conference and their concert too! All thanks to Fast Tracks Events! To be very frank, this was my first time attending a K-Pop event and also let myself exposed to a lot of K-Pop songs. Haha! I was never a K-Pop fan but things change! Haha.. was being influenced by my boyfie.
Peopos from the Fast Track Events team.
The pretty Secret members! From left: Zinger, Hyo Sung, Sun Hwa, Ji Eun
I kind of fell in love with Hyo Sung at first sight and Zinger latter. Haha! Hyo Sung was really bubbly and her smile stole my heart during the press conference. Zinger has the very mysterious aura about her that attracted me. Haha! Super envy the girls... they are so pretty.

Here is the video of the Press Conference by sgXclusive

This is the only picture I had from the concert night. =/ Did not sneak in my camera.
The Secret Live in Singapore 2013 was held in Marina Bay Sands Singapore Convention Hall. Haha! I brought along a girl friend, she is huge fan of the group! There was about a thousand crowd in the hall. I was lucky that I got to stand in the front zone. When the concert was about to start, the chants for the girls to come out was really amazing. I didn't know most of the songs but the songs were so catchy that my body too moved following the beat. I was glad that my date enjoyed herself, she was dancing and singing along throughout the concert!  Each of the member also performed solo. I prefer Zinger's solo act the best! Woo!

Overall, it was a great concert and I really enjoyed myself!

February filled with L.O.V.E.

Lion and Dragon Dance at Boyfie's place on the Day 2 of CNY
How was your CNY? Mine? Not too bad. Haha... I had to work throughout the festive seasons. I can't complain because my family traveled all the way from the north to visit me in SG on the CNY eve. Yeaps, one and a half hour flight. =) I can say I am a lucky daughter.

I was working night shift through my CNY. Manage to spend a little bit of time with my family during the day. I have tried to make reservations for reunion dinner but most restaurants in mind were closed for the evening. That's why, we opted for reunion lunch at Crystal Jade, Changi Airport.

I was really grateful that my busy bee boyfie took his time out to fetch my family from the airport to hotel. I booked a budget hotel in Bugis, considering that it was near the mrt station. I have learnt my lesson not to stay at the hotel anymore. The rooms were too small and there was no space for luggages. Encountered a pretty bad experience on the first day of checking in, there was no parking lots available for hotel guests. Hahaha.. Anyway, will be a better planner if my family is coming over again.

After resting, we walked over to Bugis + for dinner at Thai Express.

My cute parents, sisters and piccas of food.
Headed straight to work after having dinner with them. I was pretty sad that I can't accompany them. I bought them USS tix for the next day though. I really hope that they enjoyed the rides in the theme park, have yet to check out their pictures in USS on FB. Lol.

This CNY was exhausting, I fell sick due to sleep deprivation but was happy to meet my family even though it was just for few hours. Love my parents to bits for traveling all the way to see me.

This year is my first time ever celebrating Valentine's Day. *blush* I seriously never expect my boyfriend to do anything special. I was really surprised when he made dinner reservations. I really appreciate H for spending time with me. =)

My first time to Marina Bay Sands!
Time for shopping...
Play tourist.
...shopping for chocolates!

The food! The dessert was nice!
H still working at the dining table. I really don't mind. =) | Flat head me =.=
"There's no such thing as perfection. Love is for people who are realistic and smart enough to open up their heart and minds and to realize that a real relationship is the ultimate fantasy." A quote from Beauty and the Briefcase that describes my relationship perfectly.

Well, almost. Haha!

Road Trip: A Short Escape to Johore

Last week, had an impromptu road trip with friends C and S. C as our tour guide. We took a bus from Woodlands to  City Square. From there, we flagged down a cab to Taman Sri Tebrau for Sweet and Sour Crab! We almost got lost as our cab driver didn't know the "place" mentioned by C. It turned out that C did a direct translate from the stall's chinese name, hence he asked the driver to send us to Malaysia Garden (In Chinese is Da Ma Hua Yuen). Anyway, the driver managed to get us there. Haha.. No issue.

Da Ma Hua Yuen
Here is collage of food we had on that day for lunch. The crab costed us RM100,  not sure if we were slaughtered by towkay. Ahaha... The food were good! Damnit! I have been having too much instant food cause of work, almost forget how heaven tasted like! Haha!

S smiling happily with peace sign.

After our heavy lunch for 3, we headed to KSL City Mall to have a look. Since that we were still full from lunch, it was inappropriate to have a massage. So we watched The Last Stand starring Arnold. I rate this 7/10. Go watch if you haven't!

The Last Stand
After movie, we loitered a little while C got his groceries done. And I also topped up some of my CintanMee. Lol. Then, we amazingly took a cab to the massage center opposite the mall. Felt kena con, hahaha... Uncle cab asked for a RM5 fare. Tsk.  After getting our 2 hours massage done, we headed back to Singapore by bus. It was a day trip but the food definitely was the best part of the whole trip.

The next day, I finally met my childhood friend Ammy! Finally, after almost 5 months staying in Singapore. It was great to catch up with her. Loads of gossiping involved.Ahem. From trying to guess who is going to get married first in a clique and so on. Aha!

We had our lunch date at Sushi Tei @ NEX. Spent hours talking there. We ordered sashimi, sukiyaki and tan tan ramen. It was my first time trying sukiyaki. Ammy claimed that sukiyaki is her favourite. Thanks for recommending, I will definitely order that, next time.

My Current Obsession

Kicking off February by sharing with you my current obsession.

1. A novel. The Time of my Life by Cecelia Ahern.
Spot that cupcake? It is actually a lipbalm, a gift from my sis.
So far, my favourite quote from the novel is..
"Remember that happiness is a way of travel, it's not a destination"

2. Skincare. Face losing glow, change my whole set of skincare to these. Not an ad, but I am currently trying out this range. Hopefully, my dull skin and puffy eyes will leave me alone.

3. Shopping for more gifts! Festive seasons is driving me nuts, couldn't decide what to buy. Now that I am done with Chinese New Year and Birthday gift shopping. I have yet bought any pressie for Valentines Day! Help! Any suggestions?

Eat and Run!

A quick and short update in this post. Why did I name this Eat and Run?! Very obvious reason, continue reading. So, I managed to go home and visited my dearest parents and sisters. =)   Before I go into the details, Ipoh friends please do not be mad at me for not calling. I really wanna meet most of you but really short of time. Catch you peeps next trip okay?! Or you can always come and drop by and give me a beep when you are in Singapore.

This time round, took Firefly back to Ipoh. And oh yeah, the tiny airport is renovated and definitely look very modernized. *No pictures* I brought my empty luggage back  , and the kakak from kastam had to do scanning manually. So I opened my luggage for her to see. Reason for me to bring an empty bag home is to stuff it with loads of dry food and hometown pastries to give away to friends in Singapore; which in the end not enough. =.=|||

I was extremely happy to see my parents, I was never known as the girl who likes to stay at home during my study days. I guess as I grow older, I begin to understand that how important family is.

This trip, I spent most of my time with my family. The keyword is EAT.
When you ask an Ipohite, "What is the definition of Ipoh?" Answer has to be FOOD!

After my parents fetched me from the airport, we headed to the glorious Ipoh oldtown  (Sin Lean Lee Restaurant) for some awesome char kuey teow and the REAL Ipoh White Coffee!

Ipohites name this Chao Kam which means Fried Gold

Ahahaha... Had Japanese Food for lunch with my mom and youngest, dad did not come along as he is not a Japanese food fan. Sushi Zento is apparently the current favourite Japanese Restaurant in Ipoh. It located near Ipoh Garden, which is very well known as the nightlife spot of fellow Ipohites. Sushi Zento @ Ipoh 's unagi and salmon sashimi was good enough to satisfy my cravings. Haha... The atmosphere was good and the staffs there were very jolly and friendly.

And of course the eating part didn't stop there, visited this super old restaurant. I had not been there for years till my dad suggested that he miss the curry fish head at Up and Up Restaurant!
The lift is really old like the ones you see in movie, eerie! Ahahaha... Anyway, this place is one of the best place that serves hearty curry fish head! Nothing fanciful, but the all the dishes tasted awesome, like everyone's grandma's cooking!

So, that's the compilation of food porn I captured during my last eat and run trip back to my hometown.
Can't wait to head back again for MORE AWESOME FOOD!

2013, A New Beginning.

I have left this space empty for about 3 months now. It is the time of the year again to reflect what happened in 2012 and how to do things differently and better. Hahaha... Celebrated my birthday out of my homeland for the very first time. Yeap, turned 24 in December last year. The number 24 terrifies me a little bit as I know clearly that in about 5 years time I am turning 30. Lol. Anyway, had a nice and warm birthday celebration with my boyfie's family and friends.

For the past few months, I live in this concrete jungle whereby the culture and people behavior is so much more different than I met previously. More aggressive, I would say. However, I am trying to embrace this phase and taking this as a learning curve.

I know I have not been updating much, NOT even on Facebook. Hahaha... Because there is nothing interesting happening lately as I am busy "constructing" my life at this moment. Hopefully the changes I have made in 2012 will make me a better and an improved version of me in 2013.
Here is a random picture of us =P

Happy New Year All!
Cheers for A Good Start and Better Future!
